RECOGIDA MASIVA DE BASURA DURANTE EL DÍA MUNDIAL DE LA LIMPIEZA
Cada año, al terminar la temporada estival, se realizan trabajos de limpieza encaminados a recuperar, y conservar de
la mejor manera posible, nuestro entorno natural. La acción es tan importante que dispone de una jornada propia: el
19 de septiembre, día mundial de la limpieza. Durante la última campaña, y en nuestra zona, cerca de 30 voluntarios se
pusieron manos a la obra en la limpieza de los fondos marinos del Parque Natural de la Sierra Helada y de la bocana y
zonas colindantes de Marina Greenwich.
La organización corrió a cargo de la empresa Indra y contó con la colaboración de Marina Greenwich, aportando mano
de obra y una embarcación. Al finalizar la jornada se había retirado cerca de una tonelada de basura, lo que nos da una
idea de lo que sufren nuestros ecosistemas marinos.
La nota amable la puso el restaurante Club Náutico, que invitó a comer a todos los voluntarios que participaron en esa
jornada tan especial.
MASSIVE RUBBISH COLLECTION DURING WORLD CLEANUP DAY
Every year, at the end of the summer season, environmental cleaning works are carried out in the pursuit of recovering
and conserving in the best possible way our natural environment. The action is so important that it has its own day:
September 19, World Cleaning Day. During the last campaign, and in our area, about 30 volunteers got to work cleaning
the seabed of the Sierra Helada Natural Park and the entrance and adjacent areas of Marina Greenwich.
The organization was run by the Indra company together with the collaboration of Marina Greenwich, providing
manpower and a boat. At the end of the day, about a ton of rubbish had been removed, which gives us an idea of what
our marine ecosystems suffer.
The friendly note was put by the Club Náutico restaurant, who invited to lunch all the volunteers who participated on
that special day.
